The present disclosure is related to a shock absorber that adapts to orthopedic supports for patients, characterized in that the same comprises: (a) a shock absorbing chamber 12, formed from a tubular body 11； having at its respective ends, a fixed lower cover 15 and a fixed upper cover 16. (b) A spring 14, arranged inside the shock-absorbing chamber 12. c) A screw that engages in a threaded hole disposed on the fixed upper cover 16. The lower end of the screw rests on a movable inner plate 17 placed inside said damping chamber 12, so that the screw 13, which establishes a certain but stable position of the plate 17； in such a way that the plate 17 exerts or releases pressure on the spring 14.
