PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation imaging apparatus, imaging a radiation image with high accuracy by preventing the occurrence of an artifact in a boundary between a sub-area and an adjacent sub-area.SOLUTION: This radiation imaging apparatus includes: a level difference detecting part, which detects a level difference of pixel density caused in a boundary between a sub-area and an adjacent sub-area an edge region determination part, which determines whether an image in a position corresponding to the boundary is an image of an edge pattern extending substantially parallel to the boundary and a level difference correcting part, which detects a correction amount based on the level difference detected by the level difference detecting part and corrects a detection signal based on the detected correction amount, wherein the level difference correcting part calculates a correction amount of a region determined to be the edge pattern region based on the correction amounts of two regions determined not to be the edge pattern region, which are respectively in contact with the end of the region determined to be the edge pattern region, and corrects the image data of the edge pattern region.
