PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the working efficiency and working accuracy of a cord type bush cutter.
SOLUTION: This cord type bush cutter has a cutter unit 30 equipped with a cord 32, an LED 50, cables 54, 56 for supplying electric power to the LED 50 and a centrifugal switch 60 for opening and closing the supplying pathway of the electric power supplied from a button type battery 52 and passing through the cables 54, 56. Here, the LED 50 is arranged to oppose to the fixed edge surface 320 of the cord 32. When a cutter unit 30 is rotated, the centrifugal switch 60 closes the electric power pathway consisting of the cables 54, 56 to supply the electric power for the LED 50. The LED 50 irradiates laser light to the fixed edge surface 320 of the cord 32 by being supplied with the electric power. The incident laser light from the fixed edge surface 320 is emitted to the outside of the cutter unit 30.
