PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adding antibacterial activity to an article or a sanitation supply by using antibacterial agent which can be easily synthesized, contains no chloride ion and has more excellent antibacterial activity.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for adding antibacterial activity to an article or a sanitation supply, including a step for applying an antibacterial agent containing antibacterial polyaminosilane to the article or the sanitation supply, wherein the antibacterial polyaminosilane is obtained by hydrolysis and condensation reaction of an aminosilane monomer and contains no halide ion.
