PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for maintaining tissue homeostasis using a hyaluronic acid fragment.SOLUTION: A hyaluronic acid fragment of trisaccharide and/or tetrasaccharide, pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof or pharmaceutically acceptable solvate thereof is used as active ingredients of an agent for maintaining tissue homeostasis. It is preferable that the hyaluronic acid fragment is used for proliferating stem cells in tissue and inducing differentiation.
