An objective is to produce a glucosylceramidecomposition at lowcost from a raw material which is safe, has been eaten by human beings, and isreadilyavailable. Disclosed is a glucosylceramide-containing composition produced byextractionfrom a raw material of a yeast residue in an organic solvent, such as analcohol, the yeastresidue being obtained after extraction of yeast extract from Torula yeast orthe like.
