Suggested is an antimicrobial agent comprising at least one glycerylether of formula (I) in which R1 represents a benzyl, methylbenzyl, phenlethyl, or phenylpropyl radical, or a glycerylether of formula (II) in which R2 stands for a linear or branched alkyl radical having 2 to 12 carbon atoms, on condition that in case of glycerylethers of of formula (II) two or three of said species are present.Linvention concerne un agent antimicrobien comprenant au moins un éther glycérylique de formule (I), dans laquelle R1 représente un radical benzyle, méthylbenzyle, phényléthyle ou phénylpropyle radical, ou un éther glycérylique de formule (II) dans laquelle R2 représente un radical alkyle linéaire ou ramifié contenant 2 à 12 atomes de carbone sous réserve que dans le cas des éthers glycéryliques de formule (II), deux ou trois desdites espèces soient présentes.
