PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: silver-impregnated activated carbon from which silver ions having antibacterial activity not only can be stably eluted in a temperature range of 0-40°C, but also can be stably eluted in a concentration within a range of preferably 10-100 ppb even in a so-called high temperature range of 40-80°C, a method for producing the same, and a water purifier.
SOLUTION: The silver-impregnated activated carbon is obtained by impregnating a silver compound into activated carbon. The impregnated silver compound is a silver compound mainly comprising silver carbonate, and the silver-impregnated activated carbon contains impregnated silver in an amount of 0.03-0.2 wt.%. The method for producing the same and the water purifier are also provided.
