PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for improving the function of tendon and ligament, pharmaceutical composition, food and feedstuff containing the same, characterized by high safety, low risk of health damage from long term ingestion, and low production cost.SOLUTION: Provided is an agent for improving tendon and ligament function, where the agent includes, as the effective component, one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of: one or more species of peptides being a hydrolysis product of an insoluble protein obtained by removing lipid, soluble proteins and collagen from fish aortic bulb； proline-glycine (Pro-Gly) dipeptide； and salts and derivatives thereof, and the agent enhances proliferation of tendon and ligament cells.【課題】安全性が高く、長期間にわたる摂取による健康被害のリスクが低く、かつ低コストで提供可能な腱および靱帯機能改善剤ならびにこれを含む医薬組成物、食品および飼料を提供する。【解決手段】魚類の動脈球から、脂質、可溶性タンパク質およびコラーゲンを除去して得られる不溶性タンパク質の加水分解物である１または複数種のペプチド、ジペプチドのプロリン－グリシン（Pro-Gly ）、それらの塩およびそれらの誘導体からなる群より選択される１または複数の化合物を有効成分として含み、腱細胞および靱帯細胞の増殖を促進させることを特徴とする腱および靱帯機能改善剤。【選択図】図１
