The present invention provides a replaceable pod (3) for use with a vaporiser (1), the pod (3) being intended to be used in a vaporiser (1) with the pod (3) in a generally upright configuration, the pod 3 having a top and a bottom and comprising: a housing (14, 15)； a reservoir (41) for a liquid (42) to be vaporised； a chimney (40) extending within the housing (14, 15), through which air may be drawn through the pod from an upstream opening (21, 22) of the pod to a downstream opening (18) of the pod； a wick (36) for receiving liquid (42) from the reservoir (41)； and a heating element (37) for heating liquid in the wick, wherein the upstream opening (21, 22) of the pod (3) is above the level of a bottom of the chimney (41).
