A solid block of animal feed supplement, that can be licked by an animal, is formed within an edible support structure 10. The edible support structure may be shaped to fit inside a container, so as to provide a refill for that container. The structure 10 may be formed from corrugated cardboard and can be folded along fold lines (14) to provide a circular base 18 with an upstanding wall 20 with flutes 22 surrounding the base 18. A settable animal feed material such as a flowable molasses-based material can be poured into the support structure whilst the support structure is held within a mould 19. The feed material then solidifies around the fluted portions of the wall.
