PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical device with which treatment of an occluded site of a body cavity can be easily and safely performed.SOLUTION: A medical device 1 includes: a catheter 7 having a tip opening part 73 a wire 5 inserted into the catheter 7 and whose tip is protruded from the tip opening part 73 and a rotation mechanism 4 for performing rotational operation to rotate the wire 5 around an its axis.
