PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder unit 1 for installing detachably a cylinder 31 having a flange 311 and into which a plunger 21 is inserted wherein the cylinder unit can install cylinders 31 having various lengths by changing set positions in response to positioning functions requested by a syringe pump or a dispensing apparatus on which the cylinder unit is mounted.SOLUTION: The cylinder unit 1 is installed on a syringe pump or a dispensing apparatus that discharge and/or suck a fluid. A cylinder holding section 32 of the cylinder unit is made of a plurality of multistage insertion grooves 321 into which the flange 311 is inserted.
