PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implant that holds strength during osteosynthesis and has such biodegradability that it disappears in vivo after osteosynthesis in the case when used as a bone plate using ultrahigh-purity magnesium and is not inferior in strength to the implant made of titanium or a titanium alloy which has been already widely used.SOLUTION: The implant holding strength during osteosynthesis and having such biodegradability that it disappears in vivo after osteosynthesis can be provided by producing an implant from an ingot of ultrahigh-purity magnesium subjected to vacuum distillation by using a vacuum distillation step, a step of performing forging several times in the direction of sublimation and condensation, a cutting-off step of cutting-off to such size as to be processed into one implant and a step of processing the cut-off material into an implant by forging.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9【課題】超高純度マグネシウムを使用して、ボーンプレートとして使用する場合、骨接合時は強度を保持し、骨接合後は生体内消滅してくれる生分解性を有し、すでに汎用されているチタンやチタン合金製のインプラントと強度面で遜色のないインプラントを提供することを課題とする。
