Disclosed is a monoclonal antibody with specific binding sites designed to inhibit cell proliferation in cells expressing epiregulin (EREG) protein by inducing cytotoxic activity in the cell. Expression of an EREG is enhanced at a protein level in gastrointestinal cancer, pulmonary adenocarcinoma, pancreatic cancer, gastric cancer or renal cancer. Further disclosed are pharmaceuticals involving minibodies and various chemotherapeutic agents.
