[Problem] To provide a composition for use in the oral cavity, containing: (A) one or more water-soluble metal salts selected from copper salts, zinc salts, and tin salts； (B) benzyl alcohol； and (C) xylitol and/or erythritol, the composition for use in the oral cavity having an (A)/(B) mass ratio of 0.04-10, and an (A)/(C) mass ratio of 0.01-10, it being possible in the composition for use in the oral cavity to minimize the metallic taste and astringency caused by water-soluble metal salts, impart exceptional palatability, and derive suitable use for suppressing plaque formation.
