The circumference of the cylinder should be different from the total length of an integer number of articles, i.e. from the length of one article, multiplied by an integer. In the standard batch the number of articles, each of which has a distinctive, visually distinct sign, provided before the said visually distinct signs start to be repeated as such, exceeds the number of articles, through which the distinct signs are imparted after one complete revolution of the cylinder.
