SOLUTION: This capsule type medical device 2 includes illumination sections 21a and 21c emitting the illumination light to the internal of the subjects organ and illuminating the object, an imaging section 22 capturing the image of the object illuminated by the illumination light and a control section 25. The control section 25 determines the imaging scene of the internal image based on the luminance information of the internal image captured by the imaging section 22, and controls the intensity of the illumination light corresponding to the determined imaging scene.
