PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide powdered green tea that foams even with cold water, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The method for producing powdered green tea that foams even with cold water is characterized in that carbon dioxide is brought into contact with a mixture of ion water containing a cation which is selected from a magnesium ion, a calcium ion, a sodium ion, a potassium ion and an ammonium ion and powdered green tea, then the mixture is dried. The method for producing powdered green tea that foams even with cold water is characterized in that the mixture of the ion water containing the cation and the carbon dioxide and the powdered green tea is dried.
