A method of preparing and analyzing a Chinese herbal compositioncomprising Ramulus cinnamomi and Poria cocos is provided,wherein the resulted composition is defined by a 12-peakfingerprint obtained from an improved chromatographic method forquality control. Compared to traditional methods, the claimedmethod better preserves the effective ingredients of Cinnamomiand Poria. The resulted composition is proven effective intreating hysteromyoma. Various uses of such composition are alsoprovided.
