PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hedge trimmer comprising a trigger which can be operated in the same operation feeling both on a front side and a rear side.SOLUTION: A hedge trimmer that trims a work object by a blade which makes reciprocal movement in a longitudinal direction comprises: a main handle 7 extending in a longitudinal direction a first switch 10 which controls ON/OFF of the reciprocal movement of the blade and a trigger 12 which is provided in an extending manner in a longitudinal direction corresponding to a holding range in a longitudinal direction of the main handle 7, and operates ON/OFF of the first switch 10.
