The present invention provides a grass protection mat which can be used for protectionof grass in a golf course, a grass field, and a park lawn, or be used for growth ofthe grass. The grass protection mat includes a body member constituting grasspenetrating spaces, protruding pillars formed at upper portion of the body member,lug members formed at lower portion of the body member, and an outer frame providedat outer wall of the body member. The grass protection mat further includes sinkingprevention means provided across the grass penetrating spaces formed at thelower portion of the mat, elastically deformable sinking prevention means,mat sliding prevention means provided to the sinking prevention means, and slidingprevention means. The invention may obtain improve effects that the grass protectionmat prevents the mat from sinking into a ground after construction of the mat onthe ground, enhances sinking prevention effect by elastically deforming thesinking prevention means, while preventing the mat sinking, restrains the matfrom slipping through the mat sliding prevention means provided to the sinkingprevention means under or after construction of the mat, and effectively preventsfrom sliding on the mat during passage of the mat.
