PURPOSE: A planting mat is provided to facilitate the germination and growth of plant seed by easily flowing sprinkled water after the installation of the planting mat into a wool layer in which seed is located. CONSTITUTION: A planting mat comprises a wool layer (2) and a biodegradable protective layer for protecting the wool layer. The wool layer is made of biodegradable material and holds plant seed sprinkled in advance. An upper sheet layer and a bottom sheet layer (3,4) are united with the wool layer in order to surround the wool layer. multiple slits (10) are respectively separated at fixed intervals in a width direction on the upper sheet layer and bottom sheet layer and cut as a pre-set length in a longitudinal direction. The sprouted leaf of the plant comes out to outside through the upper sheet layer.본 발명은 솜층과, 상기 솜층을 보호하도록 생분해성 보호층을 구비하는 식생매트에 관한 것으로, 상기 솜층(2)은 생분해가능한 재료로서 미리 살포된 식물 종자 씨앗을 보유하며, 상기 보호층으로서 솜층을 둘러싸도록 재봉질되어 일체화된 상하 시트층(3,4)은 식생매트의 포설후에 살포되는 물이 솜층으로 유입이 가능하도록 함과 함께 식물 종자 씨앗이 상기 시트층들을 관통하여 발아 및 성장할 수 있도록 형성된 개방구조를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하여 구성됨으로써, 본 발명에 따른 식생매트는 롤 형태로 권취하여 운송과 포설이 용이한 효과와, 생분해가능한 상하 시트층과 솜층으로 구성되어 구조가 매우 간편하여 제조비용이 저렴한 효과, 솜층에서 식물 종자가 안정되게 유지될 수 있고, 상하의 시트층에 형성된 발아공 또는 슬리트들과 같은 개방구조를 통하여 식생매트의 포설후 살포되는 물이 씨앗이 있는 솜층으로 용이하게 유입되어 시트층의 존재에도 식물 종자의 발아 및 성장이 용이하여 사면에서의 식물 착화율이 크게 향상되는 효과가 있다.
