The invention provides a stacking device which can prevent sudden falling of s stacked box and soil inclination in the box. In the stacking device, the box or heightened box which is obtained through stacking a plurality of boxes are held and moved to a preset position by means of a first holding pawl (164a) and a second holding pawl (164b). The boxes are stacked or heightened at the preset position, or the next box or heightened box is stacked on the box or the heightened box which is stacked at the preset position. The stacking device is characterized in that in stacking the box or the heightened box, a random member in the first holding pawl (164a) and the second holding pawl (164b) is firstly removed from the box or the heightened box.
