PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston with a simpler structure, an instrument for collecting a fat cell equipped with the piston, and a method for collecting a fat cell using the instrument.SOLUTION: A piston 100 includes a piston body 102 for defining the inside of a syringe into a front chamber and a rear chamber, a free oil flow channel 104 for communicating the front chamber and the rear chamber, a filter 110 for regulating the passage of a fat cell and permitting the passage of free oil, and a flow channel opening/closing member 106. The free oil flow channel 104 includes a thick width part 118 and a thin width part 120. The flow channel opening/closing member 106 is arranged in the thick width part 118, and includes a projection part 124 to be fitted in the thin width part 120 so as to be freely inserted or removed.
