A device for bioimpedance measurement comprises: a carrier, which is configured to be worn by a person, a plurality of electrodes, which are arranged at a distance from a surface of the carrier facing the person when the carrier is worn, the plurality of electrodes being configured for forming a capacitive coupling to the person when the carrier is worn, a bioimpedance measurement unit, which is supported by the carrier and which is configured to, via at least one pair of electrodes among said plurality of electrodes, provide a stimulation signal and acquire a measurement signal indicative of bioimpedance of the person, wherein the bioimpedance measurement unit is configured to take a distance between the at least one pair of electrodes and skin of the person into account in order to estimate a static physiological characteristic of a bioimpedance.
