PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray imaging apparatus capable of preventing excess exposure even when an examinee moves, and of carrying out reimaging promptly.SOLUTION: When X-ray imaging is performed, a distance between an X-ray irradiating part 3 and the examinee 9 is measured by an ultrasonic sensor. When a change amount of the measurement value of the distance between the X-ray irradiating part 3 and the examinee 9 becomes equal or more than a setting value LX, the X-ray imaging is stopped, and an error is displayed on a display part 14.
