In one aspect, an apparatus for supporting the head and neck of a user forairwaymanagement is disclosed, which comprises a top surface including at least onehead-receivingportion configured and dimensioned for receiving and supporting a user's head,and at leastone recess neck opening for supporting a user's neck when the user's head isreceived in thehead-receiving portion. The apparatus further includes at least one chinsupport protrudingabove the top surface and configured for facilitating placing the user in asniff position whenthe user's head is received in the head-receiving portion. The chin supportcan include a topsurface segment and a lateral surface segment, where at least a portion of thelateral surfacesegment of the chin support extends from said top surface segment thereof tosaid at least onerecess neck opening.
