PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a region of a living body part at one of dead centers of reciprocation or the living body part corresponding to the difference.
SOLUTION: A region specifying method for specifying the region of the living body part in volume data by X-ray CT includes a distribution calculation step (R3) of calculating the distribution of an element number to a CT value in cross section data including the region of the reciprocating living body part, and a range setting step (R6, R8) of setting a CT value range on the basis of a motion peak indicating the motion of the living body part in the distribution, and specifies the element region of the set CT value range as the region of the living body part at one of the dead centers of the reciprocation or the living body part corresponding to the difference. Thus, the region of lungs in a diastolic phase and the region of lungs in a contraction phase are specified even for a living body which does not stop breath for instance.
