PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for selecting patients effective in the administration of an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitory agent (ACE I) or angiotensin receptor antagonistic agent (ARB) for ameliorating the pregnosis of myocardial infarction-developed patients, and to provide a reagent and its kit useful for easily conducting the method.SOLUTION: The method comprises the following procedure: for a subjects biological specimen, i.e. a patient in question, a genotype at the 1165th on the coding region of &beta1-adrenergic receptor gene (B1-AR gene) is detected, thus judging that the administration of ACE I or ARB is effective for ameliorating the prognosis of the patients life when the genotype represents C (cytosine)s homozygote.COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT【課題】心筋梗塞発症患者の予後改善に、アンギオテンシン変換酵素阻害薬(ACEI)またはアンギオテンシン受容体拮抗薬(ARB)の投与が有効な患者を選別する方法を提供する。また当該方法を簡便に実施するために有用な試薬および試薬キットを提供する。【解決手段】被験者の生体試料を対象として、β1-アドレナリン受容体遺伝子(B1AR遺伝子)のコード領域1165番目の遺伝子型を検出して、Cのホモ接合体である場合にACEIまたはARBの投与が生命予後改善に有効であると判定する。【選択図】なし
