PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray transmission image suitable for diagnosis without inducing a fault of a voltage generating device or a further withstand voltage defect of an X-ray tube even when discharge is generated in the X-ray tube.SOLUTION: An X-ray diagnostic apparatus related to one embodiment includes: the X-ray tube for generating X-rays an X-ray detector for detecting the X-rays a voltage generation part for generating a voltage and applying it to the X-ray tube a measurement part for measuring a tube voltage or a tube current generated in the X-ray tube a discharge detection part for detecting the discharge generated in the X-ray tube on the basis of the measured tube voltage or tube current a control part for causing the voltage generation part to operate and to start voltage application to the X-ray tube, and causing the voltage generation part to temporarily stop the operation when the discharge detection part detects the discharge and to restart the operation after the end of the discharge, and for causing the voltage generation part to stop the operation when the cumulative operation period of the voltage generation part reaches a target value and an image generation part for generating images on the basis of the detection result of the X-ray detector.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】X線管で放電が発生した場合であっても、電圧生成装置の故障やX線管のさらなる耐電圧不良を誘発することなく、診断に適したX線透過画像を提供する。【解決手段】一実施形態に係るX線診断装置は、X線を発生するX線管と、X線を検出するX線検出器と、電圧を生成してX線管に印加する電圧生成部と、X線管に生じる管電圧又は管電流を計測する計測部と、計測された管電圧又は管電流に基づいてX線管に生じる放電を検出する放電検出部と、電圧生成部を動作させてX線管への電圧印加を開始させ、放電検出部が放電を検出した場合には電圧生成部の動作を一時停止させるとともに当該放電の終了後に再開させ、電圧生成部の積算動作期間が目標値に達すると電圧生成部の動作を停止させる制御部と、X線検出器の検出結果に基づき画像を生成する画像生成部と、を備える。【選択図】 図5
