The present invention relates to a composition containing zanthoxylum planispinum extract as an active ingredient for preventing and treating metabolic diseases, the zanthoxylum planispinum extract according to the present invention effectively inhibiting the activity of diacylglycerol acyltransferase (DGAT) and pancreatic lipase which induce metabolic diseases impeding the biosynthesis of neutral fats in human liver cells (HepG2) and duodenal adenocarcinoma cells (HuTu 80) and showing, from an oral lipid tolerance test (OLTT) performed on animals, an effect of lowering the neutral fat level in the blood by effectively inhibiting the absorption of neutral fats in the gastrointestinal tract. Therefore, the zanthoxylum planispinum extract according to the present invention may be usefully employed for preventing and treating metabolic diseases such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, hepatic steatosis, and nonalchoholic fatty liver.La présente invention concerne une composition contenant un extrait de Zanthoxylum planispinum en tant que principe actif pour la prévention et le traitement de maladies métaboliques, lextrait de Zanthoxylum planispinum selon la présente invention inhibant efficacement lactivité de la diacylglycérol acyltransférase (DGAT) et celle de la lipase pancréatique qui induisent des maladies métaboliques empêchant la biosynthèse de graisses neutres dans les cellules hépatiques humaines (HepG2) et les cellules dadénocarcinome du duodénum (HuTu 80) et présentant, à partir dun test de tolérance aux lipides par voie orale (OLTT) effectué sur les animaux, un effet dabaissement du niveau de graisses neutres dans le sang par une inhibition efficace de labsorption des graisses neutres dans le tractus gastro-intestinal.
