A support system for separator grates (26) of a harvester (10) includes a first member (40) and a second member (42) extending substantially parallel to an axis of rotation (31/35) of a threshing rotor (14/34). The first member (40) extends from a staging portion (44) to a first support portion (46) rearwardly positioned from the staging portion. The second member (42) extends along a second support portion (48) that corresponds to the first support portion (46). Separator grate segments (26A/26B/26C) may be selectably installed and removed from the first member (40) and second member (42).
