The present invention relates to an imaging method for predicting the onset of neurological symptoms or the remission from neurological symptoms in a patient suffering from remitting-relapsing multiple sclerosis (RRMS). The ability to predict the occurrence of a subsequent relapse or remission and to estimate the time when that process will occur has important clinical implications. However, to date, there exists no reliable method for predicting the risk of relapse in an asymptomatic RRMS patient or the chances of remission in a symptomatic RRMS patient. The inventors found that imaging targeting-p-selectin allows accurate prediction of the onset of neurological symptoms or the appearance of remission. Thus, the invention relates to an imaging agent for use in a method for predicting the onset of neurological symptoms or the remission from neurological symptoms in a patient suffering from RRMS, wherein said imaging agent, such as a MPIO particle, comprises a selectin ligand.La présente invention concerne une méthode dimagerie pour prédire la survenue de symptômes neurologiques ou la rémission de symptômes neurologiques chez le patient souffrant de sclérose en plaques récurrente-rémittente (SEP-RR). La capacité à prédire lapparition dune rechute ou dune rémission et à estimer quand ce processus se produira a dimportantes implications cliniques.
