PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine work machine which has high reliability when being placed on the ground, and reduces a burden on an operator during operation.SOLUTION: A stand 70 consisting of resin material is mounted at the front side of an engine 40. The stand 70 is fixed to the engine 40 at the front side of the engine 40, extended to a vertical lower side and then gradually bent and extended from the lower side to a rear side, and has an edge (rear end) located in front of a rear end of a fuel tank 60 and near a position where the lowest part of the fuel tank 60 exists in a cross direction. Thus, the stand 70 covers only the lower side and front half of the fuel tank 60 and does not cover the rear half.【課題】地面に設置する際の信頼性が高く、かつ作業の際の作業者の負担を小さくしたエンジン作業機を得る。【解決手段】エンジン40の前方側には、樹脂材料で構成されたスタンド70が装着される。スタンド70は、エンジン40の前方側でエンジン40に固定され、鉛直方向下側に延伸し、更に下側から後方側に向かって徐々に湾曲して延伸し、その先端(後端部)は燃料タンク60の後端部よりも前方に位置し、前後方向において燃料タンク60の最下部が存在する付近に位置する。このため、このスタンド70は、燃料タンク60の下側の前半分のみを覆い、後半分は覆わない。【選択図】図1
