The present invention provides a glutamine-containing composition for increasing blood flow, which contains glutamine in an amount ranging from 25 mg/kg body weight to 150 mg/kg body weight per a dose. According to the composition, the blood flow in the capillary vessels can be increased efficiently, while inhibiting side effects such as low blood pressure. The present invention also provides a food or feed containing the composition for increasing blood flow.
