The present invention relates to a system and a method for optimizing brain function by improving symmetry of left/right brain activity. According to an embodiment, the system for measuring brain wave comprises: an analyzing unit which is connected to a brain wave measuring device and performs a preprocessing process on brain wave data associated with the brain wave received in real time a storage unit which classifies the brain wave data obtained by the pre-processing process on a predetermined standard to store the brain wave data in database and a result unit which provides a training result related to the measured brain wave measured from the user by each section and provides the increase rate of the brain wave based on the cumulative average of the brain wave data stored in the database.좌뇌 및 우뇌 활성도를 대칭적으로 향상시킴으로써 뇌기능의 최적화를 위한 시스템 및 방법을 제안한다. 일 실시예에 따른 뇌파를 측정하는 시스템은, 뇌파 측정 기기와 연결되어 실시간으로 수신되는 뇌파와 관련된 뇌파 데이터에 대하여 전처리 과정을 수행하는 분석부 상기 전처리 과정을 수행한 뇌파 데이터를 기설정된 기준으로 분류하여 데이터베이스에 저장하는 저장부 및 사용자로부터 측정된 뇌파와 관련된 훈련 결과를 기설정된 구간별로 제공하고, 상기 데이터베이스에 저장된 뇌파 데이터의 누적 평균에 기반하여 뇌파의 증가율을 제공하는 결과부를 포함할 수 있다.
