A hot air roasting machine includes: a housing; fan unit (120) configured to suck air into the housing; a roasting drum that is hollow inside and includes an air inlet and a roasting chamber; a heater unit disposed between the air inlet and the roasting chamber in the roasting drum, and configured to heat the air introduced from the air inlet; and roasting drum cover (121) that is disposed to cover a part of an outer peripheral wall of the roasting drum and provided with a gap from the part of an outer peripheral wall of the roasting drum. The roasting drum is formed of a material that has a thermal conductivity of a predetermined value or more. An inner peripheral wall of roasting drum cover (121) and the part of the outer peripheral wall of the roasting drum form gap air passage (125) configured to guide the air that has been sucked by fan unit (120) into the air inlet of the roasting drum.
