Control and monitoring system for implementation as a computer supported graphical user interface for an installation comprising one or more arrangements of animal treatment stalls. The control and monitoring system is configured to display, in an interactive display, output information relating to the current status of operations in a stall arrangement and input channels for use by an operator, wherein the system is configured to display a representation of the stall arrangement in which each stall (12) is represented by a cell and in which the cells are displayed in a spatial layout corresponding to the layout of stalls in the stall arrangement. Furthermore, the system is configured to display live video picture images from video cameras (21) at or nearby animal stalls including any animal or part of any animal which is present at that stall.
