Selectively delivering drug at the targeted tissue or organ or system can save a patient from unnecessary toxicity of drug owing to its over-consumption to achieve the same desired effect by delivering drug using non-targeted formulation. This becomes crucial particularly for the potent and toxic drug molecules. Here we have developed both the process and system to selectively target peripheral and central nerve and to deliver drug more preferentially to peripheral and central nervous systems. Conjugation of a drug with a polymeric nanocarrier for targeting drug molecules in or with the delivery system in such a way that one drug molecule will help to bring the drug(s) encapsulated in those targeted systems/organs/tissues (PNS/CNS/PNS and CNS) and the other drug molecule after reaching the targeted area(s) will provide its normal action/or new effect other than the usual intended effect of the drug. The second drug can be utilized for many CNS/PNS/CNS and PNS infections including viral meningitis, against rabies infection etc. or cancer growth and such strategy or system can be utilized to build up many such new therapeutic strategies of other existing drugs which are unable to reach peripheral and central nervous system. Hence, we want to patent the process and the system developed by us to specifically deliver/target drug in the peripheral and central nervous system.
