#$%^&*AU2010200693B220151119.pdf#####- 11 ABSTRACT A device for producing a drip irrigation tube comprises an extrusion apparatus (1) for extruding a tube body (2) made of a thermoplastic synthetic material, a device (3) for 5 inserting metering elements (4) in the extruded tube body (2) and for pressing and connecting the metering elements (4) in the tube body (2). Furthermore, a calibrating device (8) for adjusting the extruded tube body (2) to the desired outer shape is provided. Provided in addition are cooling devices (5), (9), for cooling the extruded tube body with coolant, and a drilling device (7) for making outlet holes in the 10 vicinity of the metering elements (4) for the water. The device for pressing and connecting the metering elements (4) in the tube body (2) is disposed in a precooling chamber (5). Disposed after the pre-cooling chamber (5) is a further chamber (6), in which the drilling device (7) is disposed. Disposed following the further chamber (6) is the main cooling chamber (9), the calibrating device (8) being 15 inserted between the further chamber (6) and the main cooling chamber (9). Besides an exact placement of the outlet holes in the tube body (2), a savings in energy during carrying out of the drilling operation is also achievable by means of this configuration.
