PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleep stage determination device which employs a proper normalization method, which matches international sleep depth determination standard, and which can accurately determine a sleep stage.SOLUTION: A sleep stage determination device comprises: a first normalization part 6 for controlling a peak value constant, by performing gain control to a heartbeat signal of a user, then performing first normalization processing to intensity of the heartbeat signal which is calculated by using the gain value； a second normalization part 7 for performing second normalization processing to the intensity of the heartbeat signal； a third normalization part 8 for performing third normalization processing to the first normalization heartbeat intensity； and a sleep stage determination part 10 for determining a sleep stage based on a variance value showing a variance of data for a predetermined time calculated about data on the second normalization heartbeat intensity obtained by the second normalization part 7 and data on the normalization heartbeat intensity obtained by the first normalization part 6 and third normalization part 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】 適切な正規化手法を採用し、国際睡眠深度判定基準との整合をとりながら睡眠段階を高精度に判定することができる睡眠段階判定装置を提供する。【解決手段】 睡眠段階判定装置は、利用者の心拍信号に対して利得制御を行うことによってピーク値を一定に制御し、そのときの利得の値を用いて算出した心拍信号の強度に対して第１の正規化処理を施す第１の正規化部６と、心拍信号の強度に対して第２の正規化処理を施す第２の正規化部７と、第１の正規化心拍強度に対して第３の正規化処理を施す第３の正規化部８と、第２の正規化部７によって得られた第２の正規化心拍強度と第１の正規化部６及び第３の正規化部８のそれぞれによって得られた正規化心拍強度のデータについて算出された所定時間のデータのばらつきを示す分散値とに基づいて睡眠段階を判定する睡眠段階判定部１０とを備える。【選択図】 図１
