PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system for enlarging observation by which a microscopic enlarged image by the confocal optical system can be observed visually corresponding the same to the observation image of a site concerned to be abnormal found in screening inspection.
SOLUTION: In the endoscope system for enlarging observation in which an optical zoom system 21 by which the magnification of an object image projected to a photographing face of a photographing element 22 can be changed by remote operation and a confocal optical system 25 constituted by arranging the position of the distal end face 26a of an optical single fiber 26 scanned in a 2D direction perpendicular to an optical axis and the position of the object in a confocal positional relation and capable of acquiring the microscopic enlarged image of the object by carrying out image scanning of the output from the optical single fiber 26 are arrange parallel in the distal end 2 of an inserting portion 1, the magnification of the observing image acquired and shown by the objective zoom optical system 21 can be enhanced to the magnification of the same extent of that of the microscopic enlarged image acquired and shown by the confocal optical system 25.
