PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for inhibiting sometimes occurring extreme reduction of antiseptic effects in the antiseptic combination of an antimicrobial polyhydric alcohol with phenoxyethanol.SOLUTION: The external preparation for the skin comprising (1) phospholipid and/or polyoxyethylene addition type nonionic surfactant and (2) the phenoxyethanol further comprises (3) a phosphoric ester-based chelating agent. The phospholipid is preferably lecithin or lysolecithin, and the polyoxyethylene addition type nonionic surfactant is preferably a polyoxysorbitan fatty acid ester. The phosphoric ester-based chelating agent is preferably the one selected from hydroxyethanediphosphonic acid, aminotrimethylenephosphonic acid, phosphonobutanetricarboxylic acid, phytic acid, triphosphonomethylamine oxide and physiological acceptable salts thereof.COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT【課題】 時としておこる、抗菌性多価アルコールとフェノキシエタノールの防腐剤組み合わせにおける、その防腐効果の著しい低下を抑制する手段を提供する。【解決手段】 1)リン脂質及び/又はポリオキシエチレン付加型の非イオン界面活性剤と、2)フェノキシエタノールを含有する皮膚外用剤に於いて、更に3)リン酸エステル系キレート剤を、皮膚外用剤に含有させる。前記リン脂質は、レシチン又はリゾレシチンであることが好ましく、前記ポリオキシエチレン付加型の非イオン界面活性剤は、ポリオキシソルビタン脂肪酸エステルであることが好ましく、前記リン酸エステル系キレート剤は、ヒドロキシエタンジホスホン酸 、アミノトリメチレンホスホン酸 、ホスホノブタントリカルボン酸、フィチン酸、トリホスホノメチルアミンオキシド及び生理的に許容されるこれらの塩から選択されるものであることが好ましい。【選択図】 なし
