The present invention provides a liquid oral-cavity composition not containing a p-hydroxybenzoic acid ester and containing 0.001-0.15 mass% of (A) menthol, the liquid oral-cavity composition characterized by containing (B) eugenol and (C) methyl salicylate, wherein (B)/(C) in terms of mass ratio is 0.25 to 4, and ((B)+(C))/(A) in terms of mass ratio is at least 0.65. The present invention also provides a method for restricting menthol precipitation in a liquid oral-cavity composition, the method comprising combining the components (B) and (C) with a liquid oral-cavity composition with which the component (A) has been combined without combining therewith the p-hydroxybenzoic acid ester, wherein (B)/(C) in terms of mass ratio is 0.25 to 4, and ((B)+(C))/(A) in terms of mass ratio is at least 0.65.
