The present invention provides a control box (100) and a garden tool (200) fitted with the control box (100). The control box (100) comprises a self-propulsion trigger unit (40) including a self-propulsion control switch (41), a lever (42) and a control handle (43) matching with the self-propulsion control switch (41)； and a casing (10) being provided with a second receiving cavity (15). The self-propulsion trigger unit (40) is at least partially disposed in the second receiving cavity (15). The lever (42) abuts and triggers the self-propulsion control switch (41) when the control handle (43) is pulled to abut against the lever (42) and the control handle (43) swings up and down in a plane where a sidewall of the casing (10) is located. The control box (100) has a reasonable switch distribution and is easy to operate.
