PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new and useful devices and techniques for use in suturing, which are particularly useful in laparoscopic, arthroscopic, and/or open surgical treatments.SOLUTION: A suture is releasably connected to a suture device 100, and a tip 106 of the suture device and a part of the suture are penetrated through tissue. Then, the suture is released from the suture device, and as a result, the suture can be drawn through the tissue in order to complete a suturing treatment. The suture device includes a grip 102 having an elongated handle with a sharpened tip configured to hold the suture at a particular point on the suture. Other types of the device include new and useful structure and techniques for mounting the suture onto the device.
