PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively determine a mental disease by preventing stress on a subject and noise in a defective contact, etc., when detecting physiological indexes correlating with a brain activity.SOLUTION: When a plurality of different stimulations to induce an emotional change are given to a subject, temperature (infrared intensity) in the parietal region of the subject is detected, based on an infrared image photographed by an infrared camera 12, so as to calculate the fluctuation amplitude of the temperature in the parietal region. Whether or not the subject suffers the mental disease to be determined is determined by comparing the calculated fluctuation amplitude with a threshold which is previously stored as a value, where a patient with the mental disease to be determined and a sound person are separable, based on fluctuation amplitude calculated from the temperature of a head part, that is detected when giving the same stimulations to the patient, and fluctuation amplitude calculated from the temperature of the head part, that is detected when giving the same stimulations to the sound person.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】脳活動と相関がある生理指標を検出する際の被験者へのストレス及び接触不良等のノイズを防止して、精神疾患を定量的に判定する。
