Resení se dále týká zpusobu jeho detekce, zpusobu identifikace jeho agonisty nebo antagonisty, nukleové kyseliny kódující tento rustový faktor, príslusného plazmidu, expresního vektoru, hostitelské bunky, pouzití výse uvedené nukleové kyseliny nebo rustového faktoru, protilátky schopné se vázat k tomuto rustovému faktoru, farmaceutické kompozice obsahující tento rustový faktor nebo tuto protilátku a kitu pro detekci tohoto rustového faktoru.In the present invention, there is disclosed a cloning and expression of a novel member of the GDNF neurotrophic growth factor family designated as "enovin" (EVN) and having the amino acid sequence illustrated in Figure 21. The mature growth factor preferably comprises the amino acid sequence from position 27 to position 139 SEQ ID NO. 4. The invention further relates to a method of detecting the above-indicated human neurotrophic growth factor, identification method of its antagonist, nucleic acid encoding the growth factor, the corresponding plasmid, an expression vector, a host cell, the use of the above-indicated nucleic acid or the growth factor, an antibody capable of binding to the growth factor of the present invention a pharmaceutical composition in which the growth factor or the antibody is comprised, and a kit for detecting the presence of said neurotrophic growth factor.
