AN ENVIRONMENT-FRIENDLY, BIODEGRADABLE, VOC-FREE, NON-CORROSIVE AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF 1, 2-BENZISOTHIAZOLIN-3-ONE (BIT) AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING THE SAME
What is described herein is an environment-friendly, biodegradable, non-corrosive aqueous solution of isothiazolin-3-one comprising: (i) at least about 5wt. % to about 50wt. % of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) (ii) about 5wt. % to 15wt. % of neutralizing agent (iii) about 0.01wt. % to about 20wt. % of at least one biodegradable chelating agent (iv) about 0.01 wt. % to about 20wt. % of at least one alkyl polyglucoside, a solubilizer (v) about 0.1 wt. % to about 2.0wt. % of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), a crystal modifier and (vi) about 50% to about 85% by wt. of water and wherein said aqueous solution is free from volatile organic compounds (VOCs), glycerols, polyglycerols, derivatives of glycerols, glycols, polyglycols and/or derivatives of glycols, and wherein, the frozen aqueous solution of isothiazolin-3-one is capable of completely thawing within two hours at room temperature or at about 25 °C to about 30°C.Linvention concerne une solution aqueuse, respectueuse de lenvironnement, biodégradable, non corrosive disothiazolin-3-one comprenant : (i) au moins environ 5 % en poids à environ 50 % en poids de 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) (ii) environ 5 % en poids à 15 % en poids dagent de neutralisation (iii) environ 0,01 % en poids à environ 20 % en poids dau moins un agent chélatant biodégradable (iv) environ 0,01 % en poids à environ 20 % en poids dau moins un polyglucoside dalkyle, un solubilisant (v) environ 0,1 % en poids à environ 2,0 % en poids dun alcool polyvinylique (PVA), un agent de modification de cristal et (vi) environ 50 % à environ 85 % en poids deau et ladite solution aqueuse étant exempte de composés organiques volatils (COV), de glycérols, de polyglycérols, de dérivés de glycérols, de glycols, de polyglycols et/ou de dérivés de glycols, et, la solution aqueuse congelée disothiazolin-3-one étant apte à dégeler complètement en lespace de deux heures à la température ambiante ou à environ 25°C à environ 30°C.
